Excellent report, time to see the obviousReader comment on item: Jordan at the Precipice Submitted by Malcolm (Israel), Mar 8, 2017 at 11:38 After this excellent eye-witness report, it is time to realize that the true "three-state solution" consists of Israel plus two separate administrations in Gaza and the West Bank (Areas A+B). Moreover, this solution has already come about. It is here, it will stay for the foreseeable future, and it is a fundamental element of Israel's security. Hardly anyone has noticed because of the deafening chorus of international voices blabbering on about a two-state solution. What needs to be done, instead, is to take these three states as a starting point and see how to ameliorate their respective conditions, instead of resolutely pursuing the unattainable task of turning the clock back to a far different reality of fifty years ago. (Whenever the rest of the world gives up that folly, Area C can be divided in a sensible manner between Israelis and the Ramallah-based Palestinian administration and this three-state solution will be complete. Human obstinacy is such, admittedly, that it may take a further fifty years.) Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes.
