The Palestinian StateReader comment on item: Jordan at the Precipice Submitted by Dr. M.J. Markoff (United States), Mar 8, 2017 at 12:00 Mr. Pipes, Having read your article, "Jordan at the Precipice", one can easily conclude 1)Jordan is an apartheid state, and 2)When the apartheid situation is ended, the people calling themselves Palestinians will in fact have their own country, into which any West Bank and Gazan "Palestinians" can flow (and should be welcomed by their brethren with open arms). Therefore, it is in Israel's security interests (and possibly the REGION'S interests) to stop any behavior serving to buoy up the current oppressive regime, and perhaps even have secret discussions and agreements with any potential succeeding regime's principals, in order to preclude yet another hostile neighbor. Israeli support for a Palestinian state on the East Bank might potentiate a lasting peace.
