You can't learn from fake history

Israel invaded Egypt for England and France. Nasser had rightfully nationalized the Suez Canal; Israel seized it France and England sailed to the "rescue" with the intent of retaking it for themselves. Ike told them to knock it off...the fiasco cost Anthony Eden his job.

Whenever I hear that old saw about appeasement, I think about the first-world appeasement of Hitler and Franco as they criminally attacked the democratically elected government of Spain.
