Any NATO Country Leader who Derides the West as "Crusaders" In Speeches is a Suspected IslamistReader comment on item: The Erdoğan Enigma Submitted by GWK (United States), Apr 21, 2017 at 11:25 In several recent speeches, Erdogan, the leader of Turkey, a NATO-member country and one of the Muslim World's longest standing democracies, used the term "Crusaders" to put down his opponents in the West. The term isn't considered slanderous in the West, but among islamists is it a red-meat insult. How can the EU and NATO trust an islamist-leaning autocrat who uses the cover of martial law to change his country's constitution to gather greater political power for his mostly non-democratic, anti-Christian, pro-shariah political ideology?
