Eartha Kitt reminded us in her song that the 20th-century name change of the capitol of the Bosphoros officially does not hide its original designation as the City of Constantine known colloquially as Kosta (Hebrew Kushta) or like many major cities 'eis tin Polin' [i.e., 'to the City], en Ville, etc. as Istanbul via the Turkish pronunciation of Pol/is. Your essay points out the creeping influence of sharia-based propaganda against western civilization and its culture, a sad development in our declining academic environment

Byzantinists especially should be among those to protest the strange wording in the exhibition.
