American Jewish criticism of Middle East Decision Making - Oslo compared to IraqReader comment on item: End the False Israeli-Palestinian Parity Submitted by Saul Stein, Jul 5, 2017 at 13:20 I find it interesting that the same Institutions in American Jewry that continue to criticize (many times in the harshest terms possible) Bush's decision to go to war against Iraq, still hold Rabin in the highest (saintly?) regard for his decisions regarding Oslo. This despite the fact that the Oslo accords have done far more harm to Israeli civilians than U.S. involvement in Iraq has done to the U.S. From my perspective, the only positive achievement that came from Oslo was the Peace Treaty with Jordan. At that time, King Hussein was in a state of non-war with Israel and was looking for any excuse to take relations to the next level. Oslo provided him with that excuse.
