The original terroristReader comment on item: End the False Israeli-Palestinian Parity Submitted by Prashant, Jul 5, 2017 at 13:29 Dear Dr Pipes, as a young boy desperately glued to the sports events of the 1972 Munich Olympics, I was shaken up by the BBC reporting of PLO's attack about the Israeli Olympic contingent. That was my introduction to PLO and to Islamic terrorism. I have always considered Yasser Arafat as the original terrorist of the modern times. It was a mistake on the part of President Clinton to create an equivalence between Rabin and Arafat or between Israel and the , so called, Palestine. There is no equivalence between the groups that represent current or future religious theocracies and democratic nations of the world (by the way of clarification, I do not consider Israel and/or Vatican as religious theocracies. They both are honorable parts of our world religious heritage and are relatively small nations. Israel is also a respectable democracy).
