The original terroristReader comment on item: End the False Israeli-Palestinian Parity Submitted by Prashant, Jul 5, 2017 at 13:29 Dear Dr Pipes, as a young boy desperately glued to the sports events of the 1972 Munich Olympics, I was shaken up by the BBC reporting of PLO's attack about the Israeli Olympic contingent. That was my introduction to PLO and to Islamic terrorism. I have always considered Yasser Arafat as the original terrorist of the modern times. It was a mistake on the part of President Clinton to create an equivalence between Rabin and Arafat or between Israel and the , so called, Palestine. There is no equivalence between the groups that represent current or future religious theocracies and democratic nations of the world (by the way of clarification, I do not consider Israel and/or Vatican as religious theocracies. They both are honorable parts of our world religious heritage and are relatively small nations. Israel is also a respectable democracy). Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes. Original writing only, please. Comments are screened and in some cases edited before posting. Reasoned disagreement is welcome but not comments that are scurrilous, off-topic, commercial, disparaging religions, or otherwise inappropriate.
