Muhammad was/is Islam and the Quran ... how do you erase his terrible history?

I do not have Mr. Pipes expertise and vast knowledge, but I have a fair amount.

One would have to almost totally rewrite the Quran and either eliminate Muhammad altogether or completely revamp his own history and that of all Islam for at least 13 centuries.

The only solution was provided before the prophet was ever born - in the person of Jesus Christ, his teachings, divine nature, and vast accomplishments.
