"No Soul"

Hi, Peter

I cobbled my last post together from data; I have never been to Dubai, though I spent several days with relatives in Hong Kong and China.

"it has no soul."

That succinctly describes the picture you paint. Lots of money and comfort, no knowledge of the real God, abounding in hypocrisy... I've seen the condition in America, from ghetto people to rich people (well, they seem richer than me, for what that's worth). That sort of life leaves one without any real point in life -- very bleak. Some people can't even socialize with others without booze or drugs to fortify them. Pointless. "Vanity of vanities, saith the Preacher (Solomon)"... One can't make up for that emptiness with bricks and mortar, nor with cell phones.
