Daniel Pipes is rightReader comment on item: Israel Has Nothing to Fear from Trump's Plan? Submitted by Mladen Andrijasevic (United States), May 31, 2018 at 12:28 I am afraid Daniel Pipes may be right and the reason for it can be found in the simple fact that NOBODY in the West dared to mention that the recent rocket attack on Israel by Islamic Jihad meant that they were waging jihad. The West's inability to state the obvious coupled with the Palestinians' proven record to say one thing to the western audiences and another to their Muslim audiences is a perfect combination for a repeat of the Oslo disaster. Abba Eban's phrase about the Arabs was wrong. The Arabs never considered (this was before Saddat) making peace with Israel to be an opportunity. They never missed an opportunity to wage war.
