What A Scared AND Educated American wants to ask a Jihadist!! Please respond!

What I want to say to any jihadist or Bin Laden himself....My father worked in Tower 1 of the World Trade Center. He doesn't anymore.

As a 23 yr old very educated male. I watch the news and read books in horror and disbelief with regards to the way things are going within the US and abroad. Please someone answer me this! The American people DO NOT have ANY, i repeat, ANY say or influence in our foreign policy decisions whatsoever! The Jihadists fail to recognize that. I know they realize it but they dont address ANY constructive or practical suggestion to actually work towards peace. I understand all the things the US has done in foreign lands..I have educated myself as much as i possibly could for my age....i firmly believe that we have no business meddling in anyone's business unless it's in self defense and we have no reason to have EVER been involved in the ME to begin with.

However, our policies in the Middle East have been in place since during WWII and the Truman Administration. A very small group of people made those decisions then and GWBush makes them now. No one else. The American people DO NOT want to meddle in your business. WE WANT PEACE and NO MORE KILLING ON EITHER SIDE. Attacking the civilians of the United States gets you or anyone else no place....The civilians of the USA ARE NOT the one's attacking you or your religion....the US government is and all we, the citizens, can do is watch and wait in horror and fear. Please, I beg of anybody who understands and sympathizes with the Jihadists....make it clear to the American people how to practically CHANGE our policies towards Muslims...the government will let thousands of American's die and you will STILL never get what you want...as of now, we do not have the power to change our policies towards your people so please why attack us. Attack our government. They do NOT represent us....we, the american people, DO NOT want to kill or be killed. What can i do to truly live in peace and mutual respect?!
