Islam is but one religion

I have been brought up in a Moslem comunity. I learnt Arabic through learning the Holy Coran which I did before the age of seven .Only then did I go to official school .Today I'm 48 years old. I am a moslem and I'm proud of it . But I have never imagined anybody could come up and say "people who don't do their prayers have to be killed"!!! or "jews must be fought wherever they are"!!! or "a marriage contract between husband and wife is a sin"!!! or Democracy is "Kofr"!!! This simply makes me say: If Islam is what the so called "Islamists" want it to be and if I ever had to abide by the rules of this "Islam" that calls for murder and hatered, I'd declare myself a Buddist or a non believer or anything else.
