Europe's Islamization -- any alternative?Reader comment on item: Europe's Civilizationist Parties Submitted by Jeffrey Sheff, Dec 7, 2018 at 13:48 In his recent talk at the Horowitz Center, Dr. Pipes gives an excellent summary of the problems in Africa and Asia that will force millions (billions?) of people to leave their homelands and seek economic or political refuge in western nations. He then shows the growing resistance of Europeans, as seen in their Civilizationist parties, to having their culture changed by accepting these immigrants. What then is the answer to the problems of the "third world"? -- global warming will continue to expand deserts; water will continue to be a problem; population will continue to climb. If Europe no longer welcomes these immigrants, where will they go? Australia and the Americas, I assume. I have little nostalgia for the Europe of yesteryear. If Britain and France weren't nuclear powers, I'd be content with the current destinations of the immigrants -- unless the West can solve the problems of climate, population, violence and religious extremism in the homelands which they are fleeing from.
