Thanks for the autobiographical insight Mr Pipes!

As a 31-year-old former journalist, with an interest in the Mid East, I always read and listen to your analysis with alacrity!

Despite your growing disillusionment, I wonder if you might direct me to some worthy books to help elucidate my own journey to understanding this most frustrating, yet historically rich region!

Thanks and keep up the good work! Love your new, "closer-to-home" analysis, too. Very thoughtful.
