Fascinating article

Dear Dr Pipes, Thank you so much for you blog about your changing your major from Mathematics to ME studies fifty years ago. What is remarkable that you had those letters and transcripts preserved. And a hand-written college transcript is almost a relic today whether it belongs to Daniel Pipes or otherwise.

That said, with so many modern American teachers of ME and Islamic studies becoming Islamic apologists, I shudder to think that you yourself came very close to being in the danger zone. John Esposito comes to my mind. Or, perhaps, I am just too paranoid.
