Israel needs the Jordan Valley for its security

The Jordan Valley can be annexed, probably without provoking the U.S. or the Saudis or Omanis. Unrest in Jordan and the shaky position of the monarchy are good reasons for them to annex it, as well as the Golan.
There can be Israeli troops stationed there without forcing Palestinians out, but there are not many Palestinians in the strategic places the Israel needs. The EU will, no doubt, maintain its negativity and assuredly, the Israelis could pair it with an offer to negotiate the Trump agreement, which Palestinians have already rejected. As to a new intifada, that may or may not occur irrespective of Israel's actions.
