They apparently cleared it with Trump. Trump may be gone is 6 months...

Israel is a line-item in the US budget. The 3 billion in military "aid" must now all be spent in the USA and the US gets access to all the Israeli upgrades. The deal also gives the US veto power to all arms sales to China (and anyone else)

Israel's medium term plan (25+ years from now) could be to de-couple from the US. China, by then, will be advanced enough and rich enough to give Israel 3 billion in military aid (that mostly must be spent in China) and get exclusive access to Israeli military technology (as the US now enjoys). China is the long-term bet. The China-Israel seeds are already planted.

I do not think the Saudi and Persian Gulf street cares about the Palestinians. They hate Israel and this will never change.

Destabilize Jordan? They hate the Palestinians, how does this destabilize Jordan, which is already under the heavy hand of the King? The West Bank Arabs have just as good a chance as being happy about the outcome. Destabilize Gaza?

What is the logic here? "a vicious political battle"?... "a contingent of Israeli Zionists turning anti-Zionist"? Most disgusted Israelis have already left for Canada, Australia and Germany. Gantz/Bibi/Peretz just formed a Government
