Twitter v Speakers' Corner! Publisher v Platform!Reader comment on item: De-platforming in Daily Life Submitted by dhimmi no more (United States), Jun 2, 2020 at 10:37 Dr Pipes, Very interesting article. London's Speakers' Corner is really what Twitter is supposed to be, platform and not a publisher. The owners of twitter want to be both! But this is not working. Twitter needs a legal scholar that understands the First Amendment and not a female ethnic lawyer, as twitter has now, to head monitoring, of all things, speech. Believe me there is something wrong when one is hired based on color of skin and gender and not on his/her understanding of what is really free speech. Twitter needs a First Amendment Scholar not an armature. We should reject "Brahmans" in charge of speech on such platform, as we do have now. Recently twitter took away the "blue check mark" from a wonderful ex-Muslim woman (who was forced to wear al-Niqab and was married to a member of al-Qa'eda) because she is telling us that Muslim women are forced to wear Hijabs and Niqabs. I understand she was warned and labeled as an "Islamophobe" by a British man with a blue check mark! And when this scare tactic did not work, twitter took away her "blue check mark'! So childish and pathetic. Did taking away her blue check mark stop her from being critical of Islam? No and good for her Last night a young journalist stated, in a tweet, the obvious that the riots we are witnessing are not protests, they are riots. Oh and the weasels and childish Brahman took away his blue check mark! It is so childish It is time to make twitter and facebook what they were supposed to be, utilities. President Trump should act now. If he loses the election this will never happen after all the Democrats, social media companies and the Legacy media are one and the same and they all want to limit speech.
