Your post shows ignorance of basic factsReader comment on item: Bibi for Prime Minister? No, For President Submitted by David (Israel), Jan 6, 2021 at 05:20 1. Olmert was forced by his political partners to resign WHEN and ONLY because was just ACCUSED of corruption. Not as a result of elections. His resignation had ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to do with his performance as PM. As I said, he was forced to resign by his own political allies, members of his own government, because of the indictment. 2. Unlike Olmert who had quite properly resigned, Bibi started to attack the entire justice system (police, attorneys, judges!!!!) and refused to resign, dragging the whole country into the mess because of his own legal problems. 3. What Olmert sings today, after he had paid his debt to the society, is of no absolutely consequence to this discussion. 4. IF Bibi is found guilty of even just 20% of what he is charged with (this is for the Israeli court to decide) he should go to jail, and for MUCH more time than Olmert because the charges against him are 10 times more serious.
