Passover Prophetic Pondering:
Enough time has passed from when observer Michael S and this reader (October 2015) exchanged what appeared to be potentially illusive quasi-religious speculations of Middle East activities in the shadow of prophetic passages of the Hebrew Holy Writ that others would feel compelled to quote the new testament writings of Cephas (Peter, the Apostle) when he inked the following (paraphrased): where is the sign of His coming; for since the time of the fathers, nothing has happened. This prompts the question for some, how valid are the prophecies?
Actually, quite a bit has happened, but in a timing not of human determination. Some of that which was speculated has indeed, occurred. In the unexpected term of former President Trump, Israel was given a different status in the recognition of Jerusalem and the resultant move of the American embassy and the recognition of the Golan as Israel's reclamation of ancient territory. Even as we read that the successor 46th American Administrative Chief Executive's people are going to seek rescission of those actions, it remains unclear if they can.
Many things were also part of those speculation, various items, new agreements and other alliances occurring that were never dreamed of nor expected; not the least of which were/are the Abrahamic Accords which appear as a nod to the prognosticated Ezekiel scenario (which by the way have an appearance of being in preliminary preparation) and the renewed efforts with EU/UN ambivalence of the Iranian Islamic Regime's nuclear efforts, now with North Korean assistance and Chinese backing. Russia and Turkey are there still, waiting for their moment.
Is anything missing? Israel is in its own fog of war while trying to figure who is running the government, somewhat of a notice to the Jeremiah remonstration in Chapter 23. That makes this Pesach one worth watching, since so many other fulfillments are just around the corner.
