Not all immiigrants are cry babies. Meet Claire Coutinho

Reader comment on item: Radical Islam's Hypocrisy
in response to reader comment: Dear Readers, meet MP Zarah Sultana of England and learn about her hypocrisy

Dear Dr Pipes, From Ilhan Omar to Zarah Sultana to Linda Sarsour to (even) Barak Obama, we see a lot of people with Islamic heritage constantly complaining about the host nations and demanding more and more rights and concessions for themselves. But not all immigrants fit into this mold. Some of them are brilliant and are devoted to their adopted motherlands. It is very important to draw the distinction.

While researching Zahara Sultana's Islamic hypocrisy further, I ran into another rookie British MP. Meet Claire Coutinho (ref below). Coutinho is a conservative MP in the UK. She is just as educated, young, suave and pretty as Sultana, Like Sultana, Coutinho also delivered a maiden speech in the British parliament. While Sultana very quickly jumped to mention that she was a discriminated Muslima from Kashmir, Coutinho did not say anything about her Christian religion. The tone of her speech reflected her pride in both her heritage and in her adopted country. She did not cry or made anyone cry, In fact, her speech full of humor made people laugh. She did not mention that she was an Indian minority in the UK and came from a Christian minority background in India. For all faults of India and Britain that she must have been aware of, she mentioned none. Coutinho's speech would make any Briton proud. Until today I had never heard of Continho. As an Indian imigrant to the USA myself, while Sultana's feigned cry-baby attitude made me uncomfortable, Continho's upbeat speech made me very proud.

I say many times that we must judge Islam and Muslims not by the scales that they try to impose upon us. We need to judge them by the uniform scales that we set for them and for everyone else. And, we should draw comparisons. Whereever the Muslim goes, they become victims and start finding faults in the host societies. Some times they even start killing others with bare knives. We need to highlight these differences.

Muslims --as you suggested-- should stay in their cultural zones, if they are too rigid to adopt new values and styles.
