I see this more among Arab women

This is anecdotal evidence but a lot of Arab women I am familiar with in the GCC are not really religious and if they are religous tend to be liberal in their approach ( they often state that truth is found in all religions). Men are tad more conservative but even with them Islam seems more about Arab pride .
