The Worst Thing That Ever Happened to ChristianityReader comment on item: [Ex-Muslims:] The Challenge to Islam It Has Never Faced Submitted by David Ryan (Brazil), Jan 11, 2022 at 01:04 The worst thing that ever happened to Christianity in my opinion was its legalization and end of persecution in 313 AD Rome. Christianity became a tool of the state under Constantine and his successors, persecuting everyone else and killing each other over trivial points of dogma. (Does Christ have one or two "natures"? etc.) When Christian morality is enacted into law to "protect" people from themselves (drugs, gambling, prostitution, sodomy) and persecute those who disagree, as opposed to the legitimate purpose of law to protect us from each other, I call that Constantinian Christianity. Christianity is given no authority over non-Christians in the Bible that I can recall. Maybe a reply will correct me.
