The real issue is Muslim immigration to the WestReader comment on item: [Ex-Muslims:] The Challenge to Islam It Has Never Faced Submitted by DEBANJAN BANERJEE (India), Jan 11, 2022 at 01:12 Dear Dr Pipes, I wish you and your family a very happy and prosperous 2022. I believe the most important issue between West and Islam is the Muslim immigration to the West. And this immigration is happening only because of the Washington consensus and the Fukuyama consensus that were forged at the end of cold war in the early 1990-s. This consensuses were responsible for the costly Western wars to the West Asian region after 2001 and these are chiefly responsible for the huge Islamist immigration to the West and subsequent cultural degradation that conservatives like you see around you in the West. The failed US war efforts in Afghanistan are responsible for millions of immigrants from that country coming to the US. The deep state in the West is trying to brush this under the carpet by saying that the Islamists immigrating to the West will convert to Christianity or how the Islamists are becoming "non-religious" and so forth. Remember the Islamist converting to Christianity remains an Islamist irrespective of their public posture. The biggest example of this is the son of Hamas who has now reverted back to Islamism and supports Hamas again in his heart. The more the deep state in the West insists on prolonging her empires in West Asia the more the menace of Islamist immigration to the West will increase. What are your thoughts on this issue ? Do you reject or accept the Washington consensus that propagated more Islamist immigration to the West ? Hopefully you will find courage to publish this. Thanks and regards with best wishes

I see no evidence of that. No question that engagement in Muslim-majority countries leads to heightened Muslim immigration. Reader comments (25) on this item
