Continuing with 'Violence as Islamic Social Mores'Reader comment on item: Middle East Geopolitics Submitted by Prashant (United States), Apr 29, 2022 at 01:16 Dear Dr Pipes, Violence in the Islamic world is so common place that people neither notice it nor talk about it. In my above message, I said that violence has become an integral part of Islamic social mores. About the time when I was writing the above message a nice, sweet, Pakistani suicide bomber, who is also a mother killed 4 Chinese teachers in University of Karachi (ref1). Why a Muslim Pakistani should kill three Chinese teachers in Pakistan? You see when Britain divided India to create Pakistan, Britain did not do enough thinking. They thought that all Muslims of Indian subcontinent were brothers and sisters and would live with each other in harmony. The British did not study Islam carefully. The British did not know that to kill everyone else, Muslims become just pure Muslims. But to kill each other, they become Balochs, Punjabis, Sindhis, Shias, Ahmadis, Sufis, and Sunnis etc. So this nice mother in Pakistan happened to be a Baloch and she wanted to liberate her Muslim Baloch people from the control of the other Muslims of Pakistan. And, the shortest path to that freedom is to kill some non-Muslim Chinese guests and kill herself. Go figure. And, while the Balochi sister was killing others in Pakistan, ISIS could not contain themselves either. In neighboring Islamic Afghanistan, they bombed a minibus and killed 9 people. Do not ask me why. I cannot even guess a reason. I will just repeat that for Muslims all potential paths to peace go through murders and Dear Muslims, please think. Muslims killing others is bad. And, Muslims killing Muslims is worse. When will you learn this? ref1: (CNN report on Karachi killing) https://www.cnn.com/2022/04/27/asia/pakistan-karachi-blast-chinese-nationals-killed-intl-hnk/index.html ref2: (The Yahoo report about ISIS killing afghans in Afghanistan.) https://news.yahoo.com/least-nine-killed-bomb-blasts-164319949.html
