To Dan, Is Islam religion of peace for muslims?

Don wrote "islam is a religion of peace if you are a muslim". Based on the past islamic history muslims are more prone to kill other muslims than non muslims.The reason is that due to the extreme ambiguities in quran no two muslims agree with each other and declare each other kafirs subject to islamic killing.I am pasting part of the post of a traditional muslim Mohammed addressing an apologist muslim muslim Nuray arguing on the reader's opinions on article "Is Allah God" of this website. Read on:
Dear sister Nuray:You called me a non muslim because you do not agree with me. Is it not the problem with muslims from very beginning that when they dont agree with another muslim they call him a non-muslim and a kafir and even kill him?

Even the greatest of the sahabas have been called kafirs by disagreeing muslims and killed in cold blood.
Hazrat Umar (rtu) (second caliph after Mohammed) was called kafir and killed by a muslim. Hazrat Usman (rtu)(third caliph afer Mphammed) was called kafir and killed by non other than Hazrat Abu Bakar's (rtu) son, Hazrat Ali (rtu)(fourth caliph after Mohammed) was called kafir by Kharijite muslim and killed. Hazrat Ayesha (rtu)(Mohammed's child bride) is called kafir by shias. Hazrat Mavia (6th caliph) disagreed with Hazrat Ali (rtu) and fought a war killing thousands of muslims, and when Hazrat Ali made a truce with Hazrat Mavia,his own people called him a kafir for making truce with a kafir.
