Muslim mind

A muslim mind is a tortured mind.

The irony is not lost. Muslims come to understand they cannot consume alcohol so that they can go to paradise and be given plenty of alcohol. To call Islam hypocritical is an understatement. ....

Sometime, you could read an islamic writer writing somewhat critical views, but they are usually whitewashed by generalization and would not focus on need for islam to progress. In the same breath, these writers would condemn other religious practices as well. For example, if an islamic writer has to write an article about the practise of honor killing against women, you would see him lament that in ancient times other religions had practised violence against women and so on and so forth; the writer would add that islam is the first religion to give rights to women/girls when in ancient times girls were buried alive in arabic countries, etc; what the writer would fail to write or one would think the writer knows about it but afraid to say so, is that other religions have progressed and learnt from their mistakes but islam has stagnated in its medieval and sometimes barbaric practices to this day.

So, what one should infer is that intellectuals if there are any in islam needs an escape valve. They cannot achieve that living in arab countries because they will be dead meat. They cannot leave islam either but that thought itself is considered blasphemy by their 'scholars';

What should the democractic civilized countries to do then?

-Create a world protocal through UN mandate for all religions so that people who are not happy with a religion can leave the religion without any repercussions to their health and well being.

-If Islamic 'intellectuals' decry the acts of Osama Bin Laden and his brand of thugs, then allow their 'fatwa' system or similar system in a religion which would allow these scholars to boot the likes of Osama from Islam. You create many advantages from this. This allows people stuck with Islam to leave the religion as well besides getting osama kicked out of islam as well.

It is no use for the 'scholars' to say that what osama or suicide bombers does is 'unislamic' and so forth. If it is so darn unislamic, then let the scholars create a mechanism to kick people out of islam.
