Again, I agree with Dr. Pipes. The greatest threat to the legacy of the French Republic is the Muslim immigration cohort onslaught from Africa and East Asia. Ritual Slaughter and Circumcision are practices condoned by the huge Muslim minority, and the Jews of France are minimal in that regard. The issue is what good for traditional French culture. If Jews of France want kosher food they can always buy it through imports from France. Muslim men are circumcised at 13 years of age, Jewish boys in infancy. Whether or not the French government considers this mutilation, similar to the genital mutilation of some Muslim girls, is a legitimate concern of the French Republic, not to be opposed because a small minority considers it its religious right (Jews). It is rather aimed at the larger cohort of Muslim men who wish to "replace" French culture with their Islamist "superior culture. I am - as a secular Jew - for the preservation of traditional French culture of the French Revolution which gave us Brigitte Bardot in her bikini. In brief, immigrants to France should adopt to French mores and not the other way around. Le Pen, accordingly, is opposed to Multiculturalism and Globalization, and rightfully so.

You, David, have failed to observe, I thing, that Ms. Le Pen has been steadily rising in the votes she;s been getting. Also, as in the case of populist Republican Trump, I recall my liberal Jewish brother, Congressman Schumer and Nadler, de-legitimizing Trump during his Presidency and twice attempting to impeach him. There is no excuse for Antisemitism, but I can see why these liberal Jews produce such hatred. I make this observation here, because I imagine that it is these Jewish cohort which opposes Le Pen from the Center and Left. It is unfortunate that the phenomena of Antisemitism limits our ability to observe the Jewish voting cohort and its commitment, or lack thereof, to traditional French culture.
