Taking North Cyprus Does Not Cost Turkiye Any Reputation - Its Religious Status Has Always Been Questionable.

Extending Turkish control deeper into the crisis zone does nothing except to confirm the contention of how much ambition Turkiye's leader is willing to invest in a continuing effort to make Turkiye the main contender of Middle East politics when it comes time to push even further south. North Cyprus becomes a distraction when considering what it will take to defend it.
