Submitted by M Tovey (United States), Nov 18, 2022 at 11:29 Extending Turkish control deeper into the crisis zone does nothing except to confirm the contention of how much ambition Turkiye's leader is willing to invest in a continuing effort to make Turkiye the main contender of Middle East politics when it comes time to push even further south. North Cyprus becomes a distraction when considering what it will take to defend it.
