The full retreat of Hind SamyReader comment on item: Something Rotten in Denmark? Submitted by Sword of Islam (United Kingdom), Feb 7, 2006 at 22:41 Thank you,. Frank. Solidarity in action, my friend. You soften 'em up, I'll knock 'em down! You will note that these people NEVER directly respond to a question. You will also note that when you quote passages from the Qu'ran that directly contradict the 'public face' of their religion it is like confronting a vampire with a crucifix! I cannot stress strongly enough the URGENCY with which non-Muslims MUST read the Qu'ran. It isn't easy as it is mainly incomprehensible drivel without a single consistent strand of logic or narrative flowing through it. This is why it is absolutely IMPOSSIBLE to have a debate with it's disciples and make rational progress. How can an illogical creed be debated logically? It can't! I have read the religious texts of many religions - not because I am a scholar or particularly educated but because most of them contain universal themes and it amazing how many of these stories repeat themselves in many different cultures that have no known historical ties. But most of all because they are, with only one exemption, GREAT stories! I love such folklore -whether it be Beowulf or Moses or Jesus or King Arthur. They generally show mankind's universal aspirations through the myriad of vastly different cultures. No matter what the skin colour or racial characteristics of the storyteller these stories generally have a common theme; that of personal sacrifice for the common good and the eventual success of nobility over adversity. There is a glaring exception however. The Qu'ran is a mess of a book and it's lack of logic means that anybody brainwashed by it cannot reasonably be expected to behave logically. Hence the rioting and verbal mess that these people produce in it's defence. It preaches little else but hatred and conquest of dar-el-harb (the kingdom of Non Muslims) and dar-el-Islam (the kingdom of the Muslims). The less than 10% can possibly be construed as peaceful is only applicable to dar-el-islam. It is committed to one world government. It is quite easy to see why the clerics of this religion are held in such high esteem by the majority of it's believers. They're the only one ones who 'appear' to understand... ! Therefore, if one of these self appointed clerics tells you loudly enough that it means a certain thing rather than appear stupid, or worse still, a heretic you're going to go along with it. Its all about peer pressure rather than common sense. You MUST read these scriptures. There are too many public figures and well meaning liberals who defend this belief at face value. The fact that it originates from poor, former colonies from the 'bad old days' does not make it justifiable to 'bend' the rules and incorporate failed social practices into our own society. Our social model has historically worked better - that is why they come here! Why would we want to change it? Why would THEY want to change it? They believe that they are under perpetual siege from The West, and now, countries that DIDN'T EVEN EXIST 100 years ago persecute a race that is proven (in The Qu'ran no less!) to have existed long before Allah was anything other than a minor Moon God! We liberated them from the oppression of the MUSLIM Ottoman Empire and they all want to go back to the 'good old days' of limb amputation and Sharia law! The reason I believe so passionately in the significance of reading the Qu'ran is because it's contempt for other beliefs is so profound and so dominant. It is the very anti-thesis of every other religious belief system that I have encountered... It is the polar opposite of Christianity. If there is a God and there is a Satan what better way for Satan to destroy or corrupt God's creation that to convert it to a belief in him rather than God. The ultimate revenge for his explusion from Heaven! It is a cult of Death. (I'm not rambling, it's all freely admitted in this book!) How many other Prophet's can claim to have been 'possessed by demons'? (It probably sounds like a good read, doesn't it? Well, it would be if it wasn't so incoherent - rather like a very drunk man telling a story which has interesting bits but who mostly bores you to tears. No co-incidence that Mohammad's death (poisoned by the wife of a murdered enemy - such nobility!) took place approximately 666 years after the birth of Christ. The bilblical 'number of the beast'! I BEG fellow NON-believers to both read the Qu'ran, to research the life of The Prophet, and to explore the actual creation of the Qu'ran. Whereas the Bible was written by a couple of dozen 'witnesses' to the events that the New Testament describes the Qu'ran was created centuries after the death of Mohammad and even then only as a transcription of verbal anecdotes passed down through the generations in an overwhelmingly illiterate society by the warrior caste and re-interpreted by the person writing them. It is the story of a ruthless bandit who basically formed the largest 'gang of bandits' in history. But, that said, I am aware of the glory of the Islamic Empire during Europe's Dark Ages and it's achievements in a vast spectrum of human endeavour. SIX HUNDRED YEARS AGO. I believe that this success was due to a far less literal interpretation or even importance for the Qu'ran in this period. Remember, this book did not even exist until well after The Prophet's death. I think that the advanced and enlightened beacons of the Muslim world all those years ago would probably see their descendants in much the same light as we do - they certainly wouldn't recognise them as kindred spirits. No, those that have inherited this mantle were contaminated by the famous corruption of the Ottoman Empire and as 'desperate times call for desperate measures' are now as paranoid as the Soviet Union used to be. However, the Soviets didn't fundamentally believe that dying for their cause would automatically grant them eternal life! It is virtually impossible to debate this subject with the believers and defenders of this cult without appearing xenophobic or racist - an easy and extremely effective way of short-circuiting a debate. But quoting the Qu'ran or hard facts about The Prophet back at these people is like giving garlic to a vampire - they wither away. Unfortunately, the hardcore believers recite the Sura's like a mantra - the book prohibits them from analysing or questioning their belief system. This is why it is so dangerous. Mohammad advises his followers not to bring the Qu'ran into battle in case it falls into enemy hands and its contents questioned. That seems to me like reason enough for Enlightened Infidel, such as you or me, to thoroughly explore the secrets that it contains. Islam does NOT mean 'peace' - it means 'submission' - of everything and everyone! Imagine any one of the representatives of this cause whom you may have seen on the television with his finger on a 'nuclear button'! We have to sort this out. NOW! I heartily recommend this website: http://www.prophetofdoom.net/toc.html It has a far more articulate introduction than I could ever hope to create. Peace be with you.
