Responce to Difference and Acceptance

If this WOULD happen it would be wonderful indeed but, chances are, it would never happen. The Western culture and the Muslim culture are RADICALY different from one another. By the beliefs of MANY Muslims that I myself have encountered, anything that is NOT Muslim is evil and therefore should be destroyed. I doubt VERY much that such an understanding would ever happen.

Considering the rifts created by the comics, the strikes on the Twin Towers here in the US, and many other events that have occured, I do not see the rift being mended anytime soon. It would be, as I said, a wonderful thing but it is virtually implausible. When two peoples are THIS different there will be conflict. I think the best avenue for the whole situation would be to part ways before things have a chance to get any worse.

Put yourself in the shoes of the Muslims for a moment. If you were a Muslim and you were looking at Western culture would you be ready to accept it fully as it is? I doubt that very much. I, personally, would never be able to accept it and I KNOW that I would not be able to intigrate into their society as it is FAR different from what I was raised with.

In most cases, the old saying goes, "Opposites attract." In this case, however, opposites attract nothing but trouble. I've seen it in the recent clashes as well as with my own eyes right here in California where I live. The only way to settle this would be to separate ourselves from them completely and vice versa.
