response to American Athiest

I find myself strongly in agreement with what was stated in American Atheist's responce.

I do not view the violence that has erupted over a bunch of CARTOONS as 'measured response'. The overblown reactions are just further proof that there is no way the two cultures could EVER co-exist. We beleive in freedom of speech, the Muslims do not. We believe in women's rights, the Muslims do not. I could go on and on but I am sure everyone reading gets my point. The responce of the Muslims has been FAR from 'measured'.

People are DYING on account of some cartoons, a few of them created by the Muslims themselves so what are we Westerners SUPPOSED to think? The conflict has been simmering for a long time, anyone who pays any attention to the news can see this much. Even here in the US we see it on a daily basis. The point is, Islam and Western beleifs, as diverse as they are, could never co exist.

The Muslims feel that they have been racially descriminated against and yet MANY of them have been seen parading around with signs saying things such as "Filthy Vikings" and whatnot. THAT is racism at it's rawest of forms yet you don't see the Danes charging out of their homes with battle axes and horned helms to exact revenge now do you? Yes perhaps the comics were insulting to the Muslims but the responce FAR overblows the initial crime.
