To my dear friends Harrak, Badr and AmirReader comment on item: How the Cartoon Protests Harm Muslims [by Leading to a Separation of Civilizations] Submitted by Lisa (Canada), Feb 19, 2006 at 18:04 Jesus said "those who lived by the sword shall die by the sword"Jesus said "My Kingdom is not of this world. If my Kingdom were of this world, then my servants would fight, that I wouldn't be delivered to the Jews. But now my Kingdom is not from here." I sincerely mean it when I say that you are dear friends whether you are Muslims, Buddhist, atheist or Christians, healthy discussion without hate and non-tolerance is maybe the solution to make people close, understand and accept not only the similarities but also the differences of each other, because as Jesus said it is easy to love those who love you, but what I (Jesus) ask you is to love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you. He also said blessed are the peacemakers for they shall be called sons of God Amir, I am sure you know the power of Jesus, his many miracles, his defeat of death, Jesus was not weak, he preached peace and love not out of weakness but out of power, lets say someone tried to intimidate you, the first and easy reaction is to get angry, maybe yell at the person and in extreme cases try to kill him, it requires lots of power, wisdom and love to answer violence with love, mercy and calmness, this is the real power. Whether Jesus preached for three years or hundred years, whether he was in power or in pain and suffering, his message did not change. Jesus disciples were ready to defend and use swords, but Jesus taught them a lesson when he said to Peter who cut the ear of one of the Romans soldiers, Jesus touched the man's ear and healed him.' ), and John 18:11 ( 'Jesus commanded Peter, "Put your sword away! Shall I not drink the cup the Father has given me? Jesus was offered to rule to whole world when he was tested by satan who offered him the keys of the world, Jesus said my kingdom is not from this world. Look at the history, can't you see how many great empires went to fialiure, because what is from this world will end in this world. To answer another question, Jesus blessed the marriage between "MAN" and a "Woman" this is the answer to homosexualities, we don't need to go to the OT to say that Homosexuality's is against the natural marriage that was blessed by GOD. Badr, Matthew 10: 34-36 This is the meaning, set a man against his father, a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law; and one's enemies will be those of his household." Yes this is true because so many people accepted Jesus as their savior and caused them to loose the closest people to them and their loved ones. Women who believed in Jesus were discriminated by their families and their husbands, and visa versa that are what it meant in this verse, when he said a daughter in law against her mother in law, Badr, do you think that this verse is to encourage people to go to wars? Did you expect that Jesus meant a war that will be lead by women or even old women? Badr, I encourage you to read all of the New Testament, all of it, I am sure you will find one consistent message in it. Actions speak much louder than words, Jesus' in his life, teachings, death and resurrection was a lived example for love and mercy not only to his followers but also to his enemies. Answering one question about a relation between the West and the bibles, Christianity can rule a country, btw Canada in its current status is maybe a good example of tolerance, equality, respect of human dignity, human rights, Canada is against wars and against corruption and can be considered a good example of what Christianity stands for. Someone mentioned the dark ages of Christianity which we all agree upon and I wish I have the power to apologize for all of the bad actions done by Christians, example: crusaders where defending their lands from the invasion of Muslims but crusaders actions can not be justified according to the bible. Christianity was its own enemy during those dark ages, if Christians were really following the Christ, no one could defeat them (make them non Christians) even with forced conversions, after all, people are born knowing right from wrong and deep inside people are influenced by good. Example: The Turkish man (I think his name was Agha Khan) who shot the Pope John Paul II, and the Pope forgave him and kissed his hands after he recovered, what was the reaction of Agha Khan?, he wanted to pay his respect when John Paul II passed away last year. Peace, smile, and sincere love have magic in peoples minds and hearts, let's try to use more of these instead of proofing who is right and who is wrong. This statement is for Christians on this forum, do not think that you can preach love by insulting or humiliating others, please try to live the word before preaching it. Denying that Muslims at one point had a great contribution to the world, doesn't proof anything, through that time, no one can deny that Christianity went through dark ages, simply because they forgot what Christianity is all about.
