Know Islam = No PeaceReader comment on item: CAIR Accepted as "Mainstream" Submitted by No Dhimme (United States), Mar 12, 2006 at 18:23 The idea that peace would reign in the world if Islam ruled the world is a pipe-dream and would result in the exact opposite for two reasons.1. Non-muslims do not want to live under Sharia. Provisions of sharia as they pertain to non-muslims is nothing other than religious apartheid. To relegated a group of people, mainly Jews and Christians, to the status of second-class citizenship is violating their human rights. The provision I speak of is dhimmitude. Also, the jizya is nothing other than extortion. Sharia stipulates that these funds are to be used for muslims only, not dhimmis. Furthermore, the Qur'an states in 9:29 that the jizya is also are reminder to dhimmis that they are subjugated and humiliated. 2. The Qur'an, Mohammed's example, and Sharia advocate violence if necessary to spread Islam. The Qur'an states that muslims are to fight until Islam is the only religion followed. This is not abrogated. The Qur'an states that there is no compulsion in religion is a common response but when the Islamic invitation to accept islam is made examination of it reveals that one has only three choices. 1. Convert and enjoy all the benefits of Islam. 2. If you are a Christian or a Jew, you can remain in your faith but as previously mention, you are relegated to a second-class citizenship status and must pay the jizya. 3. If you are not a Christian or a Jew, you either convert or die. In light of this, the idea of no complusion does not ring true. We witnessed the reaction to the cartoons of Mohammed in the muslim world, violence, death, and destruction. We should not be surprised at this because Mohammed gives muslims the path to take if insulted. I speak of the murder of two critics of Mohammed when he was alive. One murder occurred while the poetess was nursing her child. When the killers reported to Mohammed what had been done, was their any rebuking these persons for their action? Did Mohammed forgive them for their comments about him? No in either case. Instead, he rejoiced in their deaths and praised the murderers. The Jihad section in Sharia advocates that Islam is to be spread either through persuasive speech, conversions, and if necessary violence. If you doubt this, then I suggest that obtain a copy of "Reliance on the Traveller" by Keller. It is recognized by Al-Azhar University as a reliable and acceptable source of Islamic Law. In addition, if you examine the first 100 years of Islam, it's entrance into the Middle East, North Africa, and Europe was through invasion. I find it hypocritical of muslims to criticize the West of Colonialism when Islam's spread was Religious Colonialsim. There will be no peace as long as Islam tries to impose itself on non-muslims e.g. Sudan and Northern Nigeria. As the effort to restore the Caliphate with Sharia as the source of governance grows, lest we forget that Islam is not only a religion but also a political system, resistance in the form of word and violence will result.
