No room for live and let live in Islam? Do some research and you might discover how oppressed people would seek shelter in the land controlled by Muslims. Especially the Jews (who you contrasted with Muslims in the opening of your comment). If you want to discuss live and let live under Muslim rule vs. non-Muslim rule, you need look no further than Spain. I'm sure with your education you know exactly what I'm talking about, and if you do not get the reference, then that Ph.D. of yours isn't doing much.
