If Islam Equals Peace, Why Is Christianity Spreading Much Faster?

If Islam does equal peace as stated above, why is it that the Christian faith is spreading much faster then ever? The global south is were the Christian is experiencing major growth. The global south nations in the years to come will become the new missioniares spreading the good news of the Gospel. It is the Gospel where true peace can be found.
