Man admits 'honour killing' of his sister

"THE youngest of three Turkish brothers charged with murdering their sister in a so-called honour killing has admitted that he pulled the trigger, but as the trial opened in a Berlin state court yesterday he insisted that he acted alone.

Hatun Surucu, 25, was killed in February by three shots to the head on a street near her home. The case outraged Germans and brought to light the honour killings and forced marriages among the nation's Turkish population.

According to prosecutors, Ms Surucu's brothers lured her to a bus stop with the intent of killing her because they were ashamed of her Western lifestyle. "I killed my sister," Ayhan Surucu, 19, said in a statement read by his lawyer. He said that he regretted the act and insisted that his two older brothers were not involved.

Mutlu Surucu, 26, who has German citizenship, and Alpaslan Surucu, 24, a Turkish citizen, as is his younger brother, pleaded not guilty. All three face charges of second-degree murder. Hatun was a German citizen, born and brought up in Berlin, but was forced to return to Turkey to marry a cousin in 1998. A year later she gave birth to a son in Berlin and refused to return with her husband to Turkey, prosecutors said."

THIS IS SICKENING. I'm no theologian, but just off the top of my head I can tell you this is not peaceful or loving. I'm beginning to get the picture. There's the teaching of the Qur'an and the Sharia law that comes with it, which isn't very civilized according to Western standards. When a Muslim lives in another country, they're not totally bound by Sharia and must somewhat conform. (seems more like laying in wait) Apparently, this is not good enough because now they are trying to (with good success) get Sharia Law with their own separate courts put in place in Canada. That's what Canada gets for trying to be so nice and multicultural. It's going to totally backfire on them and probably the U.S. seeing as that's our northern border we'll have to worry about as more go to Canada. I have read it with my own two eyes and if the Muslim females in this forum are going to defend that sick obviously manmade BS, then you are definitely brainwashed. Don't even tell me that you are considered equal by your Islamic husbands, your Islamic governments, or Islam.

-- Tabari IX:113 "Allah permits you to shut them in separate rooms and to beat them, but not severely. If they abstain, they have the right to food and clothing. Treat women well for they are like domestic animals and they possess nothing themselves. Allah has made the enjoyment of their bodies lawful in his Qur'an."

-- Muslim:B1N142 "‘O womenfolk, you should ask for forgiveness for I saw you in bulk amongst the dwellers of Hell.' A wise lady said: Why is it, Allah's Apostle, that women comprise the bulk of the inhabitants of Hell? The Prophet observed: ‘You curse too much and are ungrateful to your spouses. You lack common sense, fail in religion and rob the wisdom of the wise.' Upon this the woman remarked: What is wrong with our common sense? The Prophet replied, ‘Your lack of common sense can be determined from the fact that the evidence of two women is equal to one man. That is a proof.'"

-- Qur'an 4:15 "If any of your women are guilty of lewdness, take the evidence of four witnesses from amongst you against them; if they testify, confine them to houses until death [by starvation] claims them."

-- Ishaq:584 "Tell the men with you who have wives: never trust a woman."

-- Ishaq:496 "Ask the slave girl; she will tell you the truth.' So the Apostle called Burayra to ask her. Ali got up and gave her a violent beating first, saying, ‘Tell the Apostle the truth.'"

-- Qur'an 24:6 "And for those who launch a charge against their wives, accusing them, but have no witnesses or evidence, except themselves; let the testimony of one of them be four testimonies, (swearing four times) by Allah that he is the one speaking the truth."

-- Tabari I:280 "Allah said, ‘It is My obligation to make Eve bleed once every month as she made this tree bleed. I must also make Eve stupid, although I created her intelligent.' Because Allah afflicted Eve, all of the women of this world menstruate and are stupid."

-- Bukhari:V3B48N826 "The Prophet said, ‘Isn't the witness of a woman equal to half of that of a man?' The women said, ‘Yes.' He said, ‘This is because of the deficiency of a woman's mind.'"

ANKARA - 1091 honor killings were committed in Turkey in the past 5 years, said Turkish Parliamentary Investigation Commission which was set up to probe honor killings.
The commission will submit a report on honor killings soon. The report includes the reasons of violence against women and proposals to prevent such violence.

The report says women are maltreated generally by their husbands, fathers or brothers. The common peculiarity of men who resort to violence is that they are young and have low income.

According to the estimates of the UN Population Fund, more than 5,000 women were victims of honor killing in the world each year. Bangladesh, Brazil, Equator, Egypt, India, Israel, Italy, Jordan, Morocco, Pakistan, Sweden, Turkey, Uganda and Britain are among the countries where such murders are seen.
