Four Rupee Dreams

It's too bad the old man rescued you. For your foolishness you deserved the loss of at least 2 of the 4 rupees. Then, maybe if your mother had slapped you would have better judgement today.

The analogy you give is totally distorted and displays the depth of misunderstanding and ignorance of most Indian Muslims about the Middle East.

You "cried", but you never planned to eliminate those thugs from existence. Those 4 rupees did not originally belong to those thugs, but the land of Israel did belong to the Jews and Jews have lived there continuously from before the time of your prophet, though it was "occupied" by muslims.

So you thinks the Israelis have to "sober up and find a solution" acceptable to the arab muslims. Of course, the only acceptable "solution" is for the Jews of Israel to conveniently commit national suicide. The "despair of Palestinians" (your words) is that they have not yet fulfilled "the dream of Palestinians and others to eliminate Israel" (Pipes' words). Maybe that is really your dream also.

So the Israelis "will have to compromise and offer peace". What do you call Camp David in 2000? That overture worked beautifully, didn't it? There was not even a counter-overture just a war declared by Arafat.

The arab muslims do not want a 2 state solution! They want an islamic state in the whole land that is currently "occupied" by the Jews. They want a state ruled by their sharia. If you don't believe it why don't you ask one of the now-nearly extinct Christian "palestinians".

The Palestinians have their "dream" of getting all 4 rupees for themselves which means the destruction of the Jewish state of Israel. Clearly, they will not give up this dream and, clearly, the Jews will not commit suicide for them - or for you.

If the muslims will not compromise with the Jews, there is one bad solution, but the world is not yet ready for it. All these Israeli approaches that Pipes describes are just biding time. Eventually, the muslim palestinians and "the others" will do something that will make the world ready for this kind of solution.

The only good solution is for the Muslims to finally grow up and give up on their 4 rupee dreams and the "despair" this is causing them.
