Democracy and Islam are NOT compatibleReader comment on item: Caught My Eye - Noteworthy Quotes Submitted by Thomas Glahn (Denmark), May 31, 2006 at 07:52 The core of islam is a totalitarian and expansionistic political ideology that dominates the thinking of the individual muslim. Islam is totally incompatible with our values of freedom and democracy. It is in many senses the exact opposites. Until Islam reforms , i.e. abandons subjugation of women, apostacy killing, medieval values of punishment and tribal culture in general, suppression of free speech and all notions of jihad and islamic spuremacy, that floods the core of the muslim reading, it cannot coexist with Western values. To deny the above will not change islam, only support the mission of islamic expansion: To use the tolerance and multiculturalistic values, that allows Islam to exist - until the day is has a majority through a superior birthrate. On that very day of muslim majority, all our democratic values will surely vanish - may God free us from this evil.
