In Respose to article Destroy Egypt's AntiquitiesReader comment on item: Destroy Egypt's Antiquities? Submitted by Lisa (United States), Jun 23, 2006 at 09:11 Dear Daniel: A note on this article. Thanks for your updates on the news we do not get in the United States. I particularly am interested in this since my favorite Egyptian Antiquities that were housed at the Emory University Carlos Museum and were disovered in the United States in storage, restored carefully in the United States and then returned to Egypt by Emory citing the "anti-US-colonialism" argument that they were "stolen" from the Egyptian people and so should be returned to them. I wonder why there is no sense of diversity of ideas in academia, particurlarly common sense. I used to enjoy taking my daughter to see them but no more. I wonder if they will be "cared for" in Egypt? Lisa Venable Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes.
