Re: True Christians Love IsraelReader comment on item: Christian Hajjis to Jerusalem Submitted by KW (United Kingdom), Jul 19, 2006 at 05:37 Hi Roy, The Chrisitan Bible will tell you that the promises made to the Old Testament Jews were fulfilled in Christ. Jesus was the last faithful Jew and a direct descendant of the Kings of Israel. Israel and Palestine belong to King Jesus. If Jews today find favour in God's eyes, despite having rejected His son, this would oppose everything the New Testament teaches. The new Testament teaches specifically that race and practices such as circumcision have no religious significance after Christ. True Christians are called to love the world and it would certainly be unChristian to ignore the terrible injustices being perpertrated by Israel in places such as Lebanon and even pray for the protection of the perpetrators. We can only trust in God through this horrible time and know that when Christ returns all nations will be under him and then there will be peace in the Middle East.
