CAIR is barking up the wrong tree.Reader comment on item: CAIR's Twisted Stand on Academic Freedom Submitted by Sunil B (United States), Sep 2, 2006 at 04:25 Dear Dr Pipes, While advocating for academic freedom, CAIR is barking up the wrong tree. I shudder to think what would have happened to our planet if the amount of money and prosperity that is flowing into Islamic countries had been flowing into any other nation. If the wealth that is flowing into Riyadh, Tehran, and Bahrain, had been flowing into Manila, Tel Aviv, or, Bangkok, you would have seen the best universities, the classiest operas, and sweetest symphonies. And these Islamic societies are wasting it all away in building mosques, supporting terrorrisms, and mushrooming duplicated Islamic websites. We sure need more academic freedom but not in America. Out here we already have plenty. CAIR should go to Ryadh, Tehran, or Bahrain and preach there. CAIR has nothing to do with integrity, honesty, and truth.
