CAIRReader comment on item: CAIR's Twisted Stand on Academic Freedom Submitted by Thomas Earl Cannady (United States), Sep 13, 2006 at 21:48 I missed the biased views of this organization when I read about them in another forum. I can't believe that a so called civil rights agency in America could pick and choose those who they will support and those who they reject to be politically correct or incorrect. I consider myself a student of the civil rights movement but I see agencies such as the ACLU not support heterosexual African-American males while supporting gay minorities who fit their need of the moment. I do not know if I am a liberal or conservative but I believe in civil rights and due process for all citizens and I also believe in protecting my country from terrorists and those who move here illegally and demand to be treated with the same rights as legal citizens and residents. Let us, liberal or conservative, work together to allow free speech but deny those who would silence us all with hate and elitism any place to lay their heads.
