in my opinionReader comment on item: Do Radical Islamists Run the Middle East? Submitted by skydiver (United Kingdom), Sep 16, 2006 at 03:50 In my opinion History is littered with suicidal cultures that have brain washed their citizens into thinking that they should rule the world such as the pre ww2 Japanese, German nazis, napoleon /French. They all ended in tatters. They only knew they were beaten when 20% of their population was eliminated and their country in ruins. So it is reasonable to assume in my opinion that the fundamentalist Arab regimes that support suicide bombers and run by dictators may suffer the same fate I don't know exactly how or when, But it will happen if normal non-religious people keep up the pressure to defend them selves from religious fundamentalists/cults of all sorts. It may happen because they the enemy think that they can win because that is all they have been taught within their own society they haven't been told the price that they may have to pay to implement their leaders fantasy dream of world domination In my opinion the only chance of this not happening is if the fundamentalist Moslem council in Mecca can be persuaded to reform and overhaul their religion. By taking out all the death threats to non believers, and those who have turned from Islam and recognise woman's rights and so step back from the brink of oblivionskydiver
