On the contrary Sayed,

This war just like every other war Islamic civilisation (if it can be called such) has been involved in since its inception finds its genesis in the Islamic crusade for liebensraum that has belligerently battered Christendom, India and now South East Asia and China for a full 1400 years. From time to time our focus has been elsewhere and our perceptions so governed by the popular press that Islams war of annihilation, enavement and conversion has gone unnoticed from time to time. But it was still there - always there.

Even the Crusades much lambasted in the Islamic world found their genesis in a certain Muslim leader barring the doors in the Church of the Sepultcre and burning the Christian pilgrims men, women and children to death for the glory of Allah. Said Muslim leader is in fact lionised by the western left but that's probably not surprising.

During the Napoleonic Wars Europe was ravaged by civil war and directed its attention to the prosecution of said conflict - muslims devoted themselves gleefully to rounding up a grand total of between two and three million european slaves and raising a Barbary fleet with the eventual intention of invading and enslaving the entire population of Italy and all of the mediterranean states. In Zanzibar this trend continued on even after the Europe put an end to the ignominious practice of seizing europeans - the Islamic worlds full complicity in the trans Atlantic slave trade was essential to the continuation of the slave industry in the Americas.

During the cold war Islam finally found its penultimate expression of inhumanity in the perfection of terror techniques originally espoused by the partisans in Spain against Napoleon's soldiers brought back to life by the Provisional IRA and copied by Mao Tse Tung. The west duly distracted Islam managed to win major concessions reclaiming Algeria, murdering jews who were citizens of other countries without penalty from said countries and in general running rampant. Islamic militants were rarely arrested for their atrocities in Europe and if they were they were often released. This pattern persisted for going on thirty years until conservatives like George Bush Jnr finally decided to "get tough" no wonder Bin Laden isn't convinced of western resolve.

This war started when Saddam Hussein invaded Kuwait and it continues to this day. Only an especially dubious and rosy view of history could ever posit Mohammedans as the good guys in this conflict. Indeed as Pope Benedict said: "Show me just what Mohammed brought that was new and you will show me that which is evil, brutal and inhumane".

But I doubt history or even bitter experience could wipe the cumulative effects of 1400 years of religious programming from your mind Sayed. So I focus my efforts on waking the west up to the totalitarian scourge that your ilk wish to impose on the last bastions of the free world (Europe having already succumbed to your darkness).
