Hudna ChutzpahReader comment on item: Gaza cease-fire Submitted by DrRJP (United States), Nov 29, 2006 at 18:34 As all of us should know, Muslims define a "ceasefire" as a hudna: a temporary truce to allow themselves to become better able to defeat their enemies. In other words, this "Ceasefire" comes straight on the heels of a planned invasion of Gaza. If the Plaestinians were militarily ready to face off against the IDF as Hezbollah did in Lebanon, there would be none of this ceasefire nonsense. Only an idiot in a coma cannot see that they will use this time to arm themselves to the teeth with anti-personnel rockets and anti-tank and anti-aircraft missles. Only a full commitment to recognizing Israel and abandoning their dream of destroying her will have any credence. But, don't hold your breath! The Catch-22 in all of these "ceasefires," is something called the "right to resistance": a bogus notion that permits Palestinians to attack Israelis on any pretext. The majority of Palestinians will never abrogate this "resistance" clause, nor the other bogus notion of the "Right of Return" no matter how many "peace proposals" that get floated towards Israel, the US, and the European cowards. The bottom line is that the only people in the Middle East who want a peaceful solutuon are the Israelis, and anyone who thinks otherwise is totally deluded. Israel does not need a ceasefire -- it needs a decisive victory against the terrorist horde and to reclaim Gaza once and for all.
