Cease Fire in GazaReader comment on item: Gaza cease-fire Submitted by Edward Purizhansky (United States), Dec 1, 2006 at 07:28 Yes, I do believe that this cease-fire is in interest of all sides of the conflict. I also believe that it will not hold for long. Hamas needs it Fattah needs it to consolidate, restock, rearm, to soften the Europeans and to gain time with Americans, especially after November elections in the USA. Israel needs it to resume proper training, prepare for the next round and to find technological answers for small rockets fire in the South as well as in the North. O lmert personally needs it for his government to survive. But, yes, it will break again, probably by May.
