What the left demands

... The majority of leftists demand that Israel accept a significant return of Palestinian refugees if not all of them.That this would lead Israel to be voted out of existence is not really an issue for them. I think you underestimate the left's hatred of Israel.

But the occupation of the West Bank and Gaza do not contrubute to Israel's security all they do is make Israel look bad.

Indeed if Israel was to pull out and remove the settlements Israel could hit back harder against the Palestinians since then it would not be people under occupation it would be one country attacking another.

More importantly soon the number of Palestinians will outnumber the number of Jews what will Israel do when they don't want an end to the occupation just the right to vote. How will Israel look in the world then. At that point it will be politically impossible for almost anyone in the world to support Israel.

The most effective weapon the Palestinians have against Israel is being victims in the eyes of the world.

Israel, instead of settlements ,should focus on the demographic problem that will come about soon , and the fact that Iran , Iraq , Syria and Libya are building weapons of mass destruction.
