Real warReader comment on item: War as Social Work? Submitted by A.A. (United States), May 9, 2003 at 18:38 The real war the U.S. and the civilized world have to fight is the militant islamic ideology which creates thousands of dangerous terrorists all over the world. The Quran says that Muslims are in a perpetual war against infidels of the world and it is obligatory on every Muslim to participate in this Jihad and fight until the whole world becomes Muslim by hook or by crook. It also says that the only sure way to achieve heaven is through Jihad. Whether it is Iraq, Afghanistan, Kuwait,Bosnia or Kosovo , as long as people believe in a literal interpretation of the Quran, they will hate non Muslims and dance on the streets for incidents like 9/11, and side with people like Saddam against any non-Muslim. The only way to fight this war is to educate the world that MIlitant Islam is a hateful and violent cult , out to destroy any one not following its ideology.Efforts of very courageous people Dr. Pipes, Dr Ali Sina (faithfreedom.org), Dr Ibn Warraq (secularislam .org), Anwar Shaikh (knowislam.org) are highly commendable and perhaps more effective than cruise missiles in the long run.
