Interesting.Reader comment on item: Hamza Yusuf Fails My "Test" Submitted by Anoy. (Australia), Apr 21, 2007 at 07:32 If you have read "Living & Dying with Grace" you will find that Hazrat Ali has said: " Words are under your control until you have spoken them, but you come under their control once you have spoken them" and i feel that is quite relevant to my situation. You see, one may think that i ought to defend what i have written when i was 12 or something. However i feel no need to defend myself. I may have been wrong, for the Lord's sake i haven't even re-read what i have written so long ago and don't feel any need to. Shaykh Hamza does not need my defence. If you have listened to his speech in which he announces he has failed mr.pipe's test, your opinion may or may not deter. And as for falling into secret agendas or whatever, do not despair, i am not as weak as i may seem, i am not as feeble minded as i may seem. I read anything i can get my hands on from the back of cereal boxes to the gospel of barnabas or whatever. Although i thank you for your warning for me to perhaps be more vigilant in this life/world ect. And it is quite comforting to the heart to witness people's consideration and thoughtfulness for other people, and once again i thank you for displaying such admirable qualities. (Now i am starting to sound like a report card) ANd you know what. I refuse to be called "moderate muslim" I am just a Muslim. Period. I don't need all these tags. Muslim. I believe that there is no God by God and that Muhammed (p.b.u,h) is the messenger of God. And i believe with utter conviction in my heart that Islam is the answer to life however many Muslims in the modern say do not see it in its spiritual light but rather cultural light. And that thought quite disturbs me. I bid you a very fullfilling life and if you disagree with me (or me with you) i hope we can learn to agree to disagree.
